Finland!

May 22-28, 2010:

So, here we are again, another trip is upon me, this time heading out to go visit our resident Finns in Oulu. Instead of flying our favorite ghetto jet (RyanAir), we actually upgraded ourselves and flew FinnAir leaving from Heathrow, without the requirement of leaving at a God awful hour and taking a billion buses to get to Gatwick or Luton. So in essence, this was going to be smooth sailing. We left Colindale around 1 and ultimately arrived at Heathrow around 3 with extra time to grab a quick bite before our flight left at 5pm to Helsinki. The flight was relatively quick, actually was served a meal and snacks on a 3 hour flight. After a rather brisk customs visit, we were on to our connecting flight to Oulu leaving Helsinki at 11:59pm. After more or less getting up in the sky, we were landing in Oulu around 1am to be greeted by Mika and Noora at the single terminal.
